Hello and welcome to Mrs. Melville's homepage! I teach 6th, 7th and 8th Grade Art as well as a High School Studio class. I have my Bachelor of Fine Arts from Alfred University's School of Art and Design and my Masters of Education from Nazareth College. I have taught at Industry Secure Facility, Mary Cariola, Lyons and Nazareth College but the greatest job I have ever had is my art teaching position at Wheatland-Chili!

Every year I look forward to working with your children to foster growth in creative and mindful thinking, technical skills and individual self efficacy through the creation of art. I am a huge proponent of Social Emotional Learning and have been trained in restorative practices through PiRI right here in Rochester, and am currently in the final steps in becoming a trainer in restorative practices.   I truly believe that art naturally lends itself to a natural connection with Social Emotional Learning.

I happily live with my husband, Mr. Melville, and our 5 combined crazy children in a huge old farmhouse here in Wheatland.
