TJ Connor is the only elementary school in the Wheatland Chili School District.  Our small size provides the opportunity to get to know all students personally.  The library is the information center of the school serving students and teachers in their pursuit of curricular and personal needs.  Our library is equipped with a Recordex Touchboard as well as ten Dash Robots.  The library curriculum infuses the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) for ELA, The American Library Association's National School Library Standards, The Empire State Information Fluency Continuum for Library, and the International Society for Technology in Education Standards (ISTE) into each lesson. The library is open to students throughout the day.  In addition, all students come to the library once per week for library instruction and book selection. 

The mission of our school library media program is to encourage and promote a love of reading while preparing students to be motivated learners, critical thinkers, and responsible users of information and technology.  Our students will recognize and communicate the value of their individual, collaborative, and creative contributions to the larger global community.
