Questions regarding summer school can be directed to Mrs House 585-889-6240 or Mr Windover 585-889-6245.

  • Any student who did not successfully complete a course with a 65 or higher may be signed up for summer school to ensure they stay on track for graduation.

The WC Counseling Office works with teachers to determine the best courses to register students for in RSS. Due to the very quick turnaround, students will be automatically enrolled in the courses that have the greatest impact on the student's ability to progress toward graduation. Registration, transportation, and details regarding the enrollment are mailed to the students' homes by the last week in June. Families who choose to not send their children to summer school may send the withdrawal form to the counseling office.

Attendance is mandatory and 1 day of attendance in RSS is comparable to 1 week of regular school year attendance. If students miss more than 3 days they will be dropped and have to repeat the course in the next school year.

Grades are important in summer school. The 2 grades from summer school will substitute the 2 lowest quarters from the school year.

Transportation will NOT be provided this year, as all instruction is remote and can be done from the comfort a student's home. All that is needed is their laptop. If students do not have their school issued laptop, they must come to the MS/HS, during summer office hours and pick it up (8:00am - 2:30pm). Students must login at their classtime to be counted as present. Class times for session 1 - 9:30am to 11:00am and session 2 - 11:00am-12:30pm.
