Hello!
Welcome to my classroom webpage. My name is Greg Burns and I am a Special Education teacher here at the Middle and High School. Additionally, I am a co-adviser of the Class of 2024 and a member of the School Culture and Climate Committee. Prior to joining the Wheatland-Chili Community in the Fall of 2019, I taught Social Studies near my hometown of Watertown, NY. Near and dear to my heart as an educator is Civic Online Reasoning, or the ability to search for, evaluate, and verify social and political information. It is my hope that by focusing on and emphasizing these skills in our instruction we will not only empower our children to be better students, but also to be better informed citizens able to participate in our democracy in an educated and responsible way.
