Qualifications for Board members are as follows: (1) citizen of the United States; (2) eighteen years of age; (3) District resident for at least one year prior to the election; and (4) an individual who is not employed by the District. A workshop for prospective School Board members sponsored by the Monroe County School Boards Association is scheduled for Saturday, March 18, 2017, at The Lexington (Brooks Avenue, Rochester) from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. If you are thinking of running for the School Board and would like more information, this is a great opportunity for you. The deadline for interested candidates to submit their petitions with a minimum of 25 signatures is 4:30 p.m. on Monday, April 17, 2017, at the District Office, T. J. Connor Elementary, Room 306.
