13WHAM Meteorologist Visits Kindergarten to Talk Weather

Meteorologist Glenn Johnson from 13WHAM visited the T. J. Connor Kindergarten classes to give a presentation on weather.  He told students about the tools he uses such as radar, rain gauges, weather balloons, thermometers and looking outside to help him complete a weather forecast. Students learned about the weather team at the news station, the live weather truck that travels all over the area, and the green screen known as the chroma key wall which projects his weather report for viewers. He made a cloud in a bottle to explain air pressure.

Kindergarten students have been studying weather all year long and doing weather experiments with the BOCES 4 Science Kits.
