Teacher Center Director wins 2019 GVASCD Award

On Thursday, May 9, 2019, Wheatland-Chili Social Studies teacher and Teacher Center Director Cara Montrois accepted the 2019 Genesee Valley Association for Supervision, Curriculum, and Development Award for Curriculum. She was nominated by K-12 Assistant Principal Danielle Hoch for her work on the digital conversion which provided every student in the District with a laptop or tablet.

“Lifelong learning is for all of us,” Montrois said in her acceptance speech. “It isn’t easy. It isn’t fast. But it’s worth it. We are growing the capacity of our colleagues and making a positive impact on student learning.”

Montrois was among three award-winners chosen by the GVASCD Board of Directors.
